ABSTRACT
To study Formation Evaluations in naturally fractured reservoirs, we need to know certain factors such as the area of the reservoir, net thickness , oil volumetric factor, porosity of the matrix and of the fractures, and water saturation in the matrix and fractures.
Due to the complexity of this type of reservoirs it is extremely difficult to establish the exact values of some of the above mentioned parameters. Nevertheless recently developed techniques allow to determine values to be considered as representative.
The objective of this paper is to present the techniques for Naturally Fractured Reservoir Evaluation, including one application example. The necessary information for the application of such techniques can be classified in two groups: in the first group , the information obtained is direct, as well as the nucleous analysis. In the second group, the information is obtained in an indirect way, such as the recollected data by cameras, geophysical exploitation logs and pressure verification tests.
