ABSTRACT

The Federal Electricity Commission is drilling for water wells in the areas of Piedras Negras, Coahuila; using the geophysical log technique in order to evaluate and identify the water-bearing existing in the area. Since the evaluation results were needed immediately, the use of micro computers was required for Geophysical Log Interpretation.

It is for such purpose that we are setting-up a basic programming language in order to determine mainly the following factors: Interval Temperature, Porosity (f), Saturation (Sw), Permeability (K), and Water Resistivity (Rw) in each one of the interest levels.

The construction of these programs are mainly based on the papers published by Dr. George B. Asquith. In the above mentioned papers he develops such programs using the equations of Schlumberger charts.
