QuickScan - ES Log Fast Single Inversion Software

This software is designed to scan Electric Survey logs (Single Inversion) into beds and departure curve type Rt information. The software is capable of interpreting individually a short normal, long normal and lateral logs while correcting for borehole effects, invasion effects and surrounding bed effects of these unfocused logs. The software is designed to find potential production zones as thin as 9 feet, and at a higher resolution setting is capable of finding beds as thin as 5 feet at the cost of increased computing time.

Computer Platforms:

High end PC, Workstations

Operating System:

Windows NT, Windows 95, UNIX

Price:

Windows $12,000, UNIX $16,000

High Resolution ES Log Inversion Software

This software is designed to accurately interpret Electric Survey logs (Single Inversion) or suite of logs (Joint Inversion) into accurate beds, Rt, Rxo, and depth of invasion information. The current software is nearly 100 times faster than the original single inversion software released through GRI and is capable of interpreting the ES log suite (short normal, long normal and lateral) while correcting for borehole effects, invasion effects and surrounding bed effects of these unfocused logs. Due to multiple depths of investigation of the tool, the software is able to very accurately determine formation information, even of extremely deeply invaded zones.

High Resolution BKZ Inversion Software

This software is designed to accurately interpret the Russian BKZ array lateral logs (Single Inversion) or suite of logs (Joint Inversion) into accurate beds, Rt, Rxo, and depth of invasion information. This software package will interpret the BKZ lateral array (A04M01N, A1M01N, A2M05N, N05M2A, A4M05N, A8M1N, N11M05A and user defined variations) while correcting for borehole effects, invasion effects and surrounding bed effects of these unfocused logs. Due to multiple depths of investigation of the tool, the software is able to very accurately determine formation information, even of extremely deeply invaded zones. This software package includes the High Resolution software and a special QuickScan software designed for the BKZ array lateral suite.

Computer Platforms:

High end PC, Workstations

Operating System:

Windows NT, Windows 95, UNIX

Price:

$100,000

High Resolution Induction Inversion Software

This software is designed to accurately interpret Induction logs (Single Inversion) or suite of logs (Joint Inversion) into accurate beds, Rt, Rxo, and depth of invasion information. The current software is capable of interpreting the IES log suite (short normal and 5 or 6 FF40) and Dual Induction suite (guard, Ilm, Ild) while correcting for borehole effects, invasion effects and surrounding bed effects of these unfocused logs. In addition, the software allows input of user designed tools, including Russian induction tools.

Dynamic Link: University of Houston Well Logging Lab

Simulation Software for Resistivity, Induction, and MWD tools.

The Well Logging Laboratory, supported by more than 20 oil and service companies in the past 20 years, has developed many computer codes to assist log interpretation, such as forward modeling of dual laterolog, SFL, induction, MWD, pulsed and through-casing resistivity tools, and automatic inversion of induction logs in layered, dipping beds. Consortium members are entitled to receiving all past technical reports as well as source codes developed by the laboratory.

Computer Platforms:

High end PC, Workstations, Mainframe

Operating System:

Any system with Fortran compiler

Price:

$40,000 (includes two year consortium membership)
