Resistivity Special Interest
Resistivity Modeling Special Interest Group(Rt-SIG) is dedicated to the
modeling, characterization, and application of resistivity logging for
petrophysical evaluation.Founded in November 1995, the Rt-SIG is an
independent, member-run, not-for-profit organization. It provides an open
discussion platform to petrophysicists, scientists, log analysts, individual
consultants, people from academia and etc to share (and explain) “strange”
resistivity log responses and conduct high level technical discussions to
acquisition, interpretation, and integration of resistivity wellbore data.
There are two meetings every year; one is in Spring and the other is in
Fall. Announcements are sent out two months prior to each meeting to all of the
members. Please feel free to pass on meeting information to those who may not
be on our email distribution list. If you are interested in attending, but are
not currently on the distribution list, please contact one of the Officers.
